Remedial & Sports Massage

Remedial Massage

Remedial Massage involves the treatment, manipulation and rehabilitation of the soft tissues of the body (eg. muscles, ligaments and tendons), treating a wide range of problems and conditions, sports and non-sports related.

A structural and postural assessment is often necessary followed by a treatment plan using a combination of massage and stretching techniques to relieve muscle soreness, increase joint mobility, increase flexibility, encourage tissue repair, break down adhesions and scar tissue.

A maintenance programme is recommended after the condition has been successfully treated. This involves regular maintenance massage along with a structured exercise and stretching routine.
