Meriel Younger: BSc, ITEC, MEmbody, MIIR, TATh.

Meriel's company, headandfoot.co.uk practices from sevem well established and respected clinics: Aditi Holistic Health in the West End of Edinburgh, Bristo Yoga School on Bristo Place, Room4Health in Leith, Musselburgh Complementary Medicine Centre in Musselburgh, Gullane Gym in Gullane and PhysioPlusScotland in North Berwick.

She is Member of the Scottish Institute of Reflexologist, www.scottishreflexology.org, and Embody (formerly the International Guild of Professional Practioners) www.embodyuk.net.

Meriel has University background with a Bachelor of Science degree from Napier University in Edinburgh. Her main activities and pursuits outside of her complementary health therapies are outdoor activities including hill walking, running, cycling and surfing. In 2004 she competed in and successfully finished the Caledonian Challenge and the Kindrochit Quadrathalon.

Meriel's caring, personable and professional approach to both her therapies and other activities makes her clients feel relaxed and secure in a welcoming environment.

Felicity Bradley: Dip SwM, Dip SpM

Felicity is a qualified Sports Massage Therapist and also offers Remedial Massage, Therapeutic Massage and Pregnancy Massage.

Originally from New Zealand, Felicity moved to the UK in 2004. She is a keen sportswomen with a passion for running, rowing, swimming, cycling and Pilates. Having competed in rowing at national and international levels, Felicity has first hand knowledge of the role that massage has in both preparation and recovery for sportspeople who are involved in training and/or competition.

She has experience working with top athletes treating a wide range of sporting and non-sporting injuries/conditions both privately and at high profile events. She also promotes massage therapy as a means of general body maintenance, injury prevention and relaxation.

Felicity has SMA and ISRM approved Level 4 training in deep tissue, sports and remedial techniques including the use of Muscle Energy Techniques, Soft Tissue Release, Neuromuscular Techniques and Trigger Point Release.

Doris Wylie: BA, GSSR, MAR

Doris is an experienced practitioner of Reflexology and Indian Head Massage and graduated from the Scottish School of Reflexology in 1998. She is also qualified in Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Timeline Therapy and provides stress management training both on a 1-1 basis and for groups.

Doris is a member of the Association of Reflexologists.

With a background in business, Doris is familiar with the pressures of the modern work environment. Her life experience allows her to empathise with a wide range of problems and issues which clients may face.

Doris has a special interest in fertility reflexology and has developed Fertility Reflexology Plus, a unique mind/body approach which uses a synergistic blend of reflexology and Neuro-Linguistic Programming techniques.

Between juggling the demands of parents and grandchildren, Doris likes to take off in her caravan and explore new places.

Doris is a calm and relaxed person who is able to transmit that feeling through her treatments. She often attracts clients who are feeling stressed or “stuck” in some area of their lives.

Sarah offers the following therapies at various clinics in Edinburgh: Sports and Remedial Massage, Swedish Massage, Indian Head Massage, Pregnancy Massage and Thai Massage.


Sarah has been living and working in Edinburgh since February 2009, having moved from the Highlands, where she ran her own clinic. As well as clinic work, Sarah does on-site (chair) massage in businesses throughout Edinburgh and enjoys working with Athletes Angels, offering massage at sporting events all over Scotland.


Her passion for learning new skills and expanding her massage experience took her to Thailand in January 2010, where she undertook 11 weeks of intensive training in Thai Massage. She is now a qualified practitioner and teacher of Thai Massage. A self confessed “Course Junkie”, her next training course will be Advanced Remedial Massage.


Sarah truly loves her work and feels very lucky to be able to do something that she gets so much satisfaction from. She particularly enjoys working with a wide variety of clients, from pregnant ladies to marathon runners, and watching them all benefit from massage.

Ali Milligan: Dip SwM

For the last 9 years, Ali has worked as a freelancer in Film and Television and has combined that with massage therapy and teaching ski-ing. A key motivator for Ali is the ability to help people through her work. When she began teaching ski-ing, she found that she developed a keen interest in understanding how the body works and having had several injuries which were all dramatically improved by massage - she was inspired to learn more about it.

She studied Swedish Massage with SMTO and after qualifying went on to practice massage in the ski resort of Zermatt, whilst teaching during the day. Realising the powerful benefits massage has she decided to further her knowledge and returned to Edinburgh recently to study Remedial and Sports Massage.

Besides Studying and practicing massage she works as a bicycle courier. Keeping active is a very important to her and she loves escaping to the hills to walk, climb, scramble or ski or out to the coast so sea kayak whenever she can.

Claire Ritchie: Dip SwM

Claire is a qualified Swedish Massage Therapist also offering Indian Head Massage and Hopi Ear Candles and currently studying as a Reflexologist, working from the Musselburgh Complementary Medicine Centre and in East Lothian.

As a mother of two young children, Claire understands the pressures and stresses that this brings and appreciates how important “me time” is and strives to make sure her clients receive the benefits from whatever complementary therapy they choose so they leave feeling relaxed, refreshed and ready to take on the next challenge!

In her spare time, Claire enjoys family time and of course, some “me time” for herself!

Frances Paulo: CTha SMTO T.A.Th

Frances has been interested in a holistic approach to health and well-being from a young age.  Her passion for complementary therapies, in particular the benefits and use of essential oils and the healing properties found in traditional natural products, has led her to train as a Clinical Aromatherapist.  

Frances is also fully qualified in Swedish Massage, having completed her training in 2008.  Since then she has studied and trained in a variety of beneficial therapies including Ayurvedic Massage, Indian Head Massage, Thermo-Auricular Therapy (Hopi Ear Candling) and Pregnancy Massage.

Frances has a BA (Hons) in Spanish and varied experience working in people orientated fields.   This has provided her with an excellent ability to listen and to respond to each of her client's particular needs and concerns with the individual approach that they require.  She has a friendly, caring manner and always strives to promote the re-balance and revitalisation of her clients.

In addition to her interest in complementary therapies, Frances enjoys travelling, practising Hatha yoga, biking and going on camping trips.

Robbie Smith: BSc ND

Robbie is a qualified Osteopath, Naturopath and Medical Acupuncturist. He is also a qualified massage therapist and offers Harmonic Massage.

Robbie is a trained Zoologist and has an interest in human and animal evolution and biomechanics. He has a special interest in how the body is designed to move, the impact that modern sedentary lifestyles and postures have on this and the resulting problems.

Robbie is fully qualified, registered and insured and, as an Osteopath, is accepted by most health insurance providers.

Robbie has appeared on Edinburgh's Talk 107 radio station giving advice on all matters related to physical pain and injury and general health.
